The Division must comply with all local, state, and federal laws and obtain any respective permits when conducting any sort of construction or development project. Internal Environmental Reviews must be considered for their applicability at the beginning of every project. Examples of permissions that may be required are:

 NPDES permit at construction sites
USACE 404 authorization
OEPA 401 certification
State Historic Preservation Office clearance
Lake bottom sediment removal permit
Commerce permits
ODNR Internal Environmental Review
Flood Plain Permits
