The Professional Awards will be presented at each of the respective annual conferences. The winners will receive a plaque/trophy. One candidate for each professional award area are nominated by each district (each district will submit 5 names – one for each award category) and submitted by email to Dee Hammel. The Employee Recognition Committee will review the nominations and make their recommendations to the Chief’s office. Each district is encouraged to pull their entire district together to come up with the nominees. The winners will be celebrated at an annual awards ceremony to be held at a park/lodge where friends/families are invited to attend.

Next Steps:
By January 31, 2013, each district needs to submit via email to Dee Hammel one name for each of the following 2012 awards:  1) Administrative Professional of the Year, 2) Law Enforcement Professional of the Year, 3) Maintenance Employee of the Year, 4) Management Employee of the Year, 5) Naturalists of the Year, 6) Customer Service Award of the Year, 7) Innovation Award of the Year, and 8) Leadership Award. As noted above, the Employee Recognition Team will review the nominations and make a recommendation to the Chief’s Office.

The nomination forms have changed dramatically and should be far more user-friendly.  The forms are primarily a check-marked form with only one area for comments.  When submitting a nomination, we encourage you to use the comment section for providing specific examples about your nominee.
